LOL!

Thanks for the thorough explanations to accommodate Muslims in restrooms too.

I'd never thought they would consider all of it to build restrooms for Muslims, but thanks again.
References :
what is a south facing room?

get a compass, and go inside the room. face the door (to outside), the compass must be 90 degrees facing the door (the door must be closed, to amke it easier for your measurement). look at the compass, align it. when 158 to 202 degrees, then the room faces south.

again, i like to emphasize that achieving a good fengshui'd room or bedroom is useless. because fengshui depends on chi. chi occupies space. the bigger the space, the more chi you have. (chi can be bad or it can be good) therefore, when when a good fengshui'd room is in a big house with bad fengshui, the bad fengshui easily negates the good fengshui of the room, unless your room is 2/3's of the whole house.

the other reason is the function of your bedroom is to draw in good health. but you need to achieve this by knowing where the good chi in your house, and putting your bedroom there. it really does not matter if the room has a door or facing that is unfavorable to you. if it is in a lcoation where the good chi is, you will be healthy and happy. as oppose to having the right facing door, but you have a bad chi inside. then even if you got the right facing, but you are living in a location with bad chi - then you will be unhealthy and unhappy.

to achieve this, you need flying stars or xuan kong fei xing method. pick up a book called " a master course in fengshui" by ms. eva wong. that book is enough to apply flying stars to your whole house. it also has enough exercises at the back of the book.
References :
the best fengshui tip i can give that has a significant effect on your luck is to change your main door. the main door is usually the wooden door, not the metal gate; or the door that is connecting the house to the outside/ road. the least that you can do is repaint the whole door.

this beats rearranging the furnitures or even painting your house a different color.

changing your main door is like freshening up your luck to become more timely or current. in fengshui, when you first move into the house, you activate your luck at that time. and such luck have certain characteristics, which is usually calculated by the fenghsui concepts. but this luck usually just lasts for just a certain period, then it expires.

thus, it is important to change the door, if you want a fresher luck.

note: do not do this only if in the past you have a string of bad events. if this is the case, you might want to tilt your door at a different degree. or consult a fengshui professional.
References :
IS this still the rule if you are in the southern hemisphere? It's so confusing because the sun is in the North. A northern exposure is a good exposure. Do I mirror everything?
References :
Why why why would you want to put a mirror behind/beside your stove? Why would you want to reflect/double the number of burners?

In Feng Shui, the cooking area is a source of the element 'fire'. Whether or not you'd need to 'double up' on this element depends on a lot of things. Firstly, who is the 'head' of the family? This is typically the person who brings in the most money to the household. Then you'd need to know this person's Kua number based on his year, date and time of birth. Knowing that, only will you know what elements is he/she and whether or not other elements in the house need to be increased or decreased. There's also the element of the house itself. What direction is the house facing? What other elements make up the environment around the house? All that results in knowing which parts of the house that needs certain elements to be 'activated' or 'diffused'. So, without know all the above, or without consulting a proper feng shui master, I'd highly recommend not activating the fire by doubling it up.

Typically here in Asia, where the stove is, we'd hang a water gourd above it so that it will balance the fire. Too much fire in a certain area could result in lots of arguments happening in the house.

If anything, mirrors are placed to reflect your dining table as the dining table is where you have food. Doubling up on the amount of food on the table is like saying you've got lots of money to be able to have lots of food, hence the mirrors.

Good luck!
References :
too lazy? get a person who does fengshui professionally to do an audit of your house, it is simpler and less hassle.

there is no such thing as a fengshui diy. thus, there is no book, no website out there that enumerates all the fengshui methods and explaining how each of them work. i, myself am studying fengshui during my sparetime, find it difficult finding a fengshui master who can teach me more about the craft.

for more info read the wiki on fengshui, it is the nearest description of chinese fengshui i can find on the internet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fengshui
